At a time of the worldwide spread pandemic, when the whole world is fighting a battle against the deadly coronavirus, Vedanta – Desh Ki Zarooraton Ke Liye, has come forward and stood with the communities to support them in their war against COVID-19. Talwandi Sabo Power Limited ensured our families and neighbours stay protected and took precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the disease. Along with intensive cleanliness of the plant and workspaces, TSPL has worked closely with the District Administration at this time of need by supporting them with meals, masks, sanitation drive and disinfectant spraying at Mansa and in the neighbouring villages. We understand the lockdown had hit the marginalized communities the most and that it is our responsibility to protect the health and well-being of this population. Food packets and basic ration were distributed to the needy in our communities by our employees who braved the virus to serve the nation.
With India declaring the Pandemic a “Notified Disaster”. This draconian crisis is challenging the economies worldwide sealing the fate of millions, the need of the hour is tread carefully with balance, determination and grit to handle the situation. Nation as a whole is grappling to handle this uncalled for unknown enemy. Punjab’s Chief Minister – Capt. Amarinder Singh, has set up a Covid -19 CM Relief Fund to ensure perennial supply of essentials during this period. Talwandi Sabo Power Limited has stepped forward and donated 25 Lakhs to the Punjab Chief Minister Covid Relief Fund.
