TSPL’s TARA (TSPL Action for Rural Ajeevika) initiative has been transforming the lives of over 2000 community women by providing them with opportunities, developing their skills, augmenting capacity building activities, vocational training, access to microcredit, & mentorship support making them truly Atma-Nirbhar.
Driving Electrifying Transformation
India marked a historic milestone with TSPL pioneering a groundbreaking initiative through the signing of the landmark MOU (5 years) with a rural SHG established under PSRLM (Punjab State Rural Livelihood Mission), Punjab, to source Electric Vehicles (EV) serving dual purposes of conserving the ecosystem while also accelerating the community’s progress for an illuminated future.
This endeavour will have a substantial impact by curbing ~1.5million gm of CO2 emissions each year while concurrently generating substantial income & job prospects for women in rural areas.
In another landmark achievement, TSPL collaborated with Mansa administration, to establish a circular economy model via a microenterprise office file cover unit. Through this initiative the SHG women are supplying official file covers to district administration securing recurring orders earning significant income.
